“Song for Stevie” Original Acoustic Blues Guitar Improv By Joey Vaughan “World Blues Attack”
Hi friends! This is an original that I have been working on for a few weeks! I tried to capture some Stevie Ray Vaughan feeling in this piece! I hope I accomplished this while still giving the song my own spirit! This solo Guitar piece had originally meant to have been recorded with my Fender Telecaster but when I played it on my Guild I loved how it sounded. Of course any have listened to guys like Robert Johnson, John Mayall, Paul Butterfield, Albert King, Stevie Ray, Eric Clapton,Sonny Boy Williamson,John Lee Hooker, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones,Muddy Waters, Lightning Hopkins, T. Bone Walker,Taj Majal, Johnny Winter,Howlin’ Wolf,Magic Sam, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Neil Young,Albert Collins,John Mayer,Ronnie Earl,Clarence Gatemouth Brown,Roy Buchanan,Memphis Slim, U2,Little Walter and Willie Dixon. My favorite blues songs are Texas Flood and Blues Boys! To my fans in Singapore, New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Nashville, and of course Franconia, New Hampshire home of “The Wicked Smart Horn Band”!! And of course Joe and Tony Cimino at Mojo Studios! To my Jazz favorites, Miles Davis,John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington,Herbie Hancock, Charles Mingus, and of course Wes Montgomery! Have a beautiful day! Enjoy, comment, and rate! Thanks Thanks for listening!

Face it–we love to play in E minor and so does your guitar. With a 22 fret neck there’s E’s abound ranging from the open low E string for raucous riffing all the way up to the screaming whole step bend from D to E on the first string at the neck’s highest fret. This lick ends end with that climatic string stretcher, but not before it scrambles through some single string ascending three-note patterns at blazing speed.
