This is one of many free blues guitar lessons I offer here on YouTube and through my email newsletter. If you like it, I would encourage to sign up as it’s free and we have a lot of fun.

This lesson is based around the concept that soloing doesn’t have to be hard to sound good. A lot of people think they need to practice a ton of scales and learn a bunch of theory – but blues music really doesn’t work that way.

I’ve played just about every style of guitar over the years but I keep coming back to the blues and I’m sure there’s a reason for that. It’s wonderful in its simplicity but as BB King has said, “It’s the easiest to learn and the hardest to master.”

There is always a bit more to learn it seems.
